David Neale

An innately creative person, David gained a BA Hons. Fine Art degree, which was followed by evening classes in Photography and a Diploma in Garden Design, and allowed him to combine his drawing skills and passion for plants and landscapes.

Several years of working for a landscaping firm enabled David to set up and run a garden design and construction firm with a colleague in 2008. David Neale Landscapes has now been realised and allows David to design gardens and planting schemes for clients, as well as construct them. It's this combination of skills that gives him a greater understanding and ability to realise clients' dream gardens.

In 2010 David received a gold medal for his Urban Serenity Garden at Hampton Court Flower Show. 2018 saw David design the Silent Pool Gin Garden in the Space to Grow category at Chelsea Flower Show, which received a silver gilt medal and the People's Choice Award.

2019 saw David return to Chelsea, again with Silent Pool, with an industrial-themed conceptual garden. The garden contained many sensory elements and showcased new plant technology that harnesses energy from plants.

Hannah Neale

Hannah is hugely passionate about plants and gardens, and has studied both extensively. After achieving a Diploma and Practical Diploma at the Royal Horticultural Society's garden at Wisley she completed a BSc in Horticulture, which included a semester at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

Following this Hannah pursued a career in local authority parks departments in the south east and south west of England. Her work involved designing seasonal bedding schemes, herbaceous borders, sensory gardens and wildflower areas. She also entered towns and districts into regional 'In Bloom' competitions and

volunteered for many years as a judge for the Green Flag award scheme for public parks.

Since starting a family Hannah has been providing a Horticultural Consultation service to clients in Surrey, as well as being on the committees of her local Garden Club and Village Fair.

In 2019, Hannah joined David in his garden design and construction business, and is enjoying being part of Team Neale!
